During his visit to the Olympic Games in Vancouver earlier today, Industry Minister and Minister for FedNor, Tony Clement, dropped by La Place de la francophonie pavilion to take a first-hand look at efforts to highlight Canada's French language and culture. The Government of Canada invested more than $1.7 million in support of the high-profile venue located on Vancouver's Granville Island. As part of those efforts, a FedNor-sponsored exhibit is helping to promote the next edition of les Jeux de la Francophonie Canadienne to be held in Sudbury, July 19 to 24, 2011. The special exhibit is encouraging visitors from around the world to come and explore another beautiful region of Canada - Northern Ontario.
