Archived — FedNor Invests in Feasibility Study for First Nation Food Distribution Redesign

A $50,000 FedNor contribution in Nishnawbe Aski Nation is helping this regional Aboriginal organization determine viable options on how to redesign the food distribution system in Northwestern Ontario. With the goal of helping First Nation communities gain access to more fresh, regionally sourced and affordable food choices, this strategic initiative is identifying existing or emerging regional food hubs, business opportunities, potential networks and partnerships, and ways in which First Nation members can participate in the food distribution and agri-food economy.
