Archived — Government of Canada invests $25,019 to showcase Francophone arts and culture
An investment of $25,019, through FedNor’s Economic Development Initiative (EDI) for Northern Ontario, was used by Carrefour francophone de Sudbury to coordinate and host French Fest 2016. Specifically, this investment enabled the organization to organize a series of events and activities for the three-day festival, including musical and theatrical performances, culinary experiences, and a large street celebration in downtown Sudbury. EDI helps foster the development of new expertise in innovation, economic diversification and business growth in Northern Ontario’s Francophone communities, helping them capitalize on economic opportunities made possible through linguistic duality.
